Holiday Snapshots

I've been getting emails from some of you asking for details about what we did over the holidays, so here's a few snapshots from the past week and a half.

Enjoyed the new existence of a living room floor (well, part of it)... Got jolly with some Santas... Oh deer! (Spotted this herd in the neighbor's field.) Called in our favorite carpenter (Redneck Rick!) to install the soffit one afternoon...Went to Virginia for a couple days to beat up on one nephew, and get spit up on by the other...

Hung out with some nerds (S's sister and brother-in-law) at beautiful Massanutten...

Had no heat or water at 3820 for a few days, so I bundled like an eskimo...

Rang in the New Year in D.C. James Bond-style, with our favorite NYE companions...

That's about it! We had a wonderful time of celebration with our parents, siblings (we missed you Cassie!), family and friends. We are blessed to have some pretty amazing people in our lives. I am sad that the festivities are over and that I didn't get to see some of my favorite people this year.

Oh, and I also planned a couple new fun things for this ol' blog during the break, so stay tuned for some new features coming soon. I thought about switching over to a more professional layout and putting together a new design, but, well... Blogger is so darn easy and I don't think I have the time to be fancy right now. So simplicity it is! Seems quite fitting after the bustle of the holidays.
