New Sofa!

Call off the dogs! We finally bought a sofa. After trips to Pottery Barn, Arhaus, Z Gallerie, Shofer's (in Baltimore), Crate&Barrel, West Elm and so many others, we finally bought our new sofa over the weekend at Ethan Allen.

The Ethan Allen Hudson Slipcovered Sofa  is 89" w x 35" h x 39" d -- just long enough to let S lay flat without hitting his head on the armrest, and just roomy enough for comfortable snuggling. (It's not as deep as others we looked at, but the back cushions come off to make even more room for snuggling in case we get fatter!) This is a much simpler and boxier design than some others we had been looking at, but it's also more than $500 less than those other choices too.

It's quite similar to the Pottery Barn Comfort Square Grand Sofa, but it's a little more casual and $200 cheaper since shipping was free. Not bad. Not bad at all.

So you'll just have to use your imagination. (Or wait a couple weeks until it's delivered.) I know we can't wait! We were home last night, sitting our on little Klippan loveseat, talking wistfully about how comfy we'd be if the new sofa were already here...

Trust me, I'll keep you posted about its arrival! S is so excited he's considering taking a vacation day so he can enjoy it fully when it arrives. That ought to tell you how seriously we take our lounging.
