Giveaway! Photo print from Paripassu

Sorry! This giveaway is now closed for entry.

Some people are just born to be creative, and my good friend Georgia is one of them. In college, when I was swiping cookies from the dining hall to save for late night snacks, Georgia was baking banana bread (from scratch of course) in the dorm kitchen. She was the only person I knew who had a sewing machine in her dorm room--and who made her own gorgeous dress for the annual gala. Her creative juices just couldn't be stopped!

Now all grown up and living in Shanghai, Georgia is still constantly creating -- and now she's moved into photography and recently opened an Etsy shop called Paripassu. And she has kindly offered to give away 1 photo print to a lucky random reader of this little blog!!!

I love homegrown, handmade art -- it's so much more interesting and meaningful and artful than any mass produced piece you can buy at any retailer.

Anyway, there are lots more photos where this came from, and the winner will get to choose their favorite shot. (I will hook you up with Georgia, and she will show you her collection and entertain you with embarrassing stories about me while you make your decision.)

So without further ado, leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a beautiful photo print from Paripassu. And just for fun, tell me about your favorite art, craft or other outlet that gets your creative juices flowing!

Oh, and you can get an extra entry if you share this giveaway on your blog. (Just leave an extra comment letting me know.)

I will select a winner using random.org and announce next Friday, June 17--so be sure to come back to see if you've won!

UPDATE: International entries are welcomed!

Note: Though there are many benefits to being friends with Georgia, I was not paid or perked in any way to host this giveaway.

  1. I love her pictures but I'm not an US resident (or citizen, for all that matters), can I still participate?

I love drawing and watercolor painting, don't know why I don't do it more often. I also love running, many ideas come to my mind during a long sweaty run.

  4. I especially like the third picture you posted. My creative outlet at the moment is baking/cooking. I still have to follow recipes, but I love the feeling of creating something tangible.

  8. The middle piece is my favorite. I absolutely love it! That teal blue color is my favorite color. If my husband allowed it, every room in our house would be decorated in that color and tans and browns :) I am definitely going to check out your Etsy shop.

  9. I love them all. The first is my favorite. I've been trying to do a lot of recycling art projects lately...taking everyday items and making them beautiful. I really enjoy this blog for inspiration: http://alittlehut.blogspot.com/

Such beautiful photography! I love the last photo with the gorgeous natural light. What gets my creative juices flowing is having less to work with. I love the challenge of being super-resourceful and creating something that is going to be unique forever!

    Crossing my fingers :)

  11. What a small world, huh? Your friend's photographs are beautiful, and I wouldn't mind winning one :)

Btw, I absolutely love reading all of your updates! It's really cool feeling like I have a clue what's going on in your life since it's been so long since I have seen you. At the same time, as someone I pretty much grew up with, I really love seeing your adventures unfold before my eyes. You have such an amazing vision!

  13. Beautiful work! Thanks for the giveaway.

I love sewing by hand. There's something so connecting about either fixing a hole or sewing a pillow knowing that this same hand-sewing technique has been around for decades.
