I've been encouraged to take it a bit easy during the heat wave, so I took that opportunity to make something fun for a certain baby. Here's a preview:
I'll let you know when it's eventually hung. (Not sure when that will be.) It was rather time consuming and tedious with all the cutting and stringing, but it cost less than $5!
I LOVE this! It's so original, so beautiful, and so cheap(monetarily, not time)! I can't wait to see it hanging.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lace! It was definitely time consuming but I used it as a "break" here and there between writing thank you notes, working, cleaning, etc.
ReplyDeleteI admit that I did copy the idea from a much more expensive ($75) mobile I really liked:

Our nursery doesn't have much color in it, so I wanted something really bright that brought in my favorite colors from the fun quilt my mother in law is making!
this is so pretty - I'm curious how you constructed it to keep the slices from slipping. I'll stay tuned for your next post :) It's sure to look beautiful for a baby's room.
