FARE THEE WELL
Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. But this morning I had a little Craigslist encounter (not that kind!) and said goodbye to the Lee L. Woodard rocking chair I originally got on Craigslist for a steal. A sweet mom-to-be named Heather contacted me saying she was kind of desperate for this exact chair for her nursery, and she made an offer I couldn't really refuse. She's going to polish the brass and probably have it reupholstered, so it will get way more love in her house than in ours. We're couch people anyway.
Happy trails, my brassy old chap. Let the Craigslist circle be unbroken.
PS - The drywall finishing crew came this week and is allegedly finishing up the master suite today. Hooray!

Aw that was an awesome chair, but it seems like it's going to a good home. What are you replacing it with?
ReplyDeleteBittersweet. But lucky for the new owner! That chair is awesome! I actually just bought a new couch on CL last night and will now be selling my beloved tufted granny-chic sofa (the new couch was in great shape and far less expensive than reupholstering). I wish I had the time & money to reupholster it. Oh well, it will get a new life in a new home just like your rocker. :)
ReplyDeletethe rocker is really great design but now where near a cozy family sofa! good call.
ReplyDeleteoops typing too fast ....I meant "no where near a cozy family sofa"
