Log Progress

Layers of plaster and drywall have been removed, rotten sections have been replaced and the logs have been exfoliated with tiny bits of corn husk. Next up: choosing the stain. Here are the choices, conveniently painted side-by-side. This might be not be a big thrill to some people, but I get really excited when projects near a state of completion. You know you're getting close when there is a decision about color to be made!

Our final choice was the 2nd from the left, the "Dark Natural." Not too dark, too light or too orange. I'm itching to see it done. I will be one happy camper if, in the end, the room looks anything like this.
