Marble Slab Update

So, thumbs down on the marble slab. S went to check it out on Friday, and it was too thin. It was not so much a countertop as a really huge piece of 1/4" tile, probably for the front of a fireplace.

The hunt continues. (Fortunately, the hunt is kind of fun.)

I watched It's Complicated again on Friday night, mostly because I like both the set designs and Meryl Streep. In the movie, she's working with an architect to expand her small but lovely kitchen.

I wonder if she'll be keeping that island or getting a new one when her new kitchen is built? That's the slab of marble I'm looking for!
